Fees and Expenses

Fees for investigative work performed by Carol Sciannameo Investigations Inc., will be billed on an hourly rate plus expenses.

A professional service agreement will be completed by the client with a retainer of $500 . Said retainer must be received by the agency before an investigation can be initiated. As the investigation proceeds, client will be advised if additional funds are needed to complete the assignment. The retainer will be depleted as necessary to pay hourly fee of the Investigators) and for necessary expenses. All unused retainer balances will be credited or refunded with the final invoice. There will be no charges for the initial consultation. Once retainer is received by agency, a $50 processing charge may be billed to the Client for cancellation.

An $85 hourly fee for the first investigator and an additional hourly fee of $40 for the second investigator will be charged, if needed. Please call our office for the fees for your particular job.

Fees are broken down into the following categories: Investigative Time, Travel Time, Administrative Time, Mileage (Billed at .50 cents per mile) and Expenses.

Expenses may include, but are not limited to travel, lodging, rental vehicles, photographic processing and supplies, usage of a commercial database and other retrieval fees for public records.

Fee is subject to State tax in the amount of six percent and Pinellas County tax in the amount of one percent, for a total of seven percent.

Payments will be made by the client using the online secure payment service, PayPal. 

Money orders are also accepted. Under certain circumstances, checks will be accepted, but the investigation will not be initiated until the check clears the Agency's account.
